Publish Your Job Orders

Starting today, we have just launched a new system to publish your job orders to multiple locations.

Where can you publish?

We've added Twitter, CareerBuilder, Indeed, and SimplyHired to start.

In the works: Facebook and juju. Please reply to this thread with suggestions for other sources we can give you the option to publish to!

How do I use this feature?

Start by configuring your settings for the various job posting services at the Settings tab -> Administration link from the blue bar -> Job Posting Services from the list below.

After setting everything up, simply click on the job order of your choice and then select the Publish button on the top. From here, select what source(s) you would like to publish to. Once published, scroll down to the middle of your job order and noticed the Published On section. This will show you where the job order is published to. Also note the Show History link. Clicking this will let you see if the publishing was successful and, if not, tell you what went wrong.

This feature is also available using the Mass Action drop down box.

Note: You cannot publish to CareerBuilder or Twitter as a mass action. The Twitter publish feature has a 24 hour cooldown per job order to prevent spamming.

Not sure what your intentions are with facebook, but it would be useful if we could publish to a facebook "page" - in other words, as well as publising on my personal profile, it would be nice to publish to my company "page" if possible...

David,

Yes, it is our intention to post to a company page, not to your personal one.

Like to suggest a LINKEDIN Group, as option to publish to!
Regards
Paul

Paul,

We've wanted to integrate with LinkedIn for some time now. We're working with them to get access to their Job Posting API, but they are picky about who they let in. They recently opened a public API, but this only allows you to update personal statuses, connect with people, and a few other things not related to jobs. When we get access to their job posting API, we will make an announcement to let you know.

For our Canadian customers: we just received the documentation to allow direct posting to Workopolis, and are working to make our CATS Firefox Toolbar compatible with their site to allow you to import resumes directly into CATS similar to Monster, CareerBuilder, and HotJobs.

We're also working towards getting permission from HotJobs and Dice to allow the ability to post to their sites from CATS.

Publish Your Job Orders

You are now able to publish your jobs to Facebook.

Posting to Facebook seems to have some bugs in it. The actual job order itself did not appear on my profile, just the link to my job board - not the j/o or the application either.

Hi. How can I publish to a business page instead of profile page? My business page is created thru my personal account.

Jeni,

I think you'll need a separate login for the facebook posting to work. I wasn't aware you can create a company page through a personal login.. ours is setup separately.

Thanks Tony. I actually created a business fan page thru my personal account. I hope CATS can explore allowing publishing job orders to FB page. Creating a new FB account for the business will require building friends base again and has limit of 5000 friends connected to it. A fan page has unlimited fans. Rgds.
