Creating resume bundles and/or mass emailing resumes to hiring mangaers
Message

I have found one aspect of this system to be fatally flawed and that is the ability to create resume bundles or mass email resumes TO another person for review. CATS has the ability to mass email candidates but not to mass email resumes to another person for review. It's EXTREMELY time consuming to have to download all the resumes and create a resume bundle to then send to a manager and manually update each candidate's status.

Is this a feature that is available and I just am not aware or one that is, hopefully, on the way?

Thanks.

Lindsay,

We currently do not have a feature like this and have not had any requests for this sort of feature. Unfortunately, we do not have plans in the near future. We can take this suggestion into consideration, but I cannot give you any timeline on when this feature would be added. Your suggestion is appreciated.

I would be more than happy to help you out with a solution I came up with for this. As stated by Andy, there are no immediate plans to put this in to place, but I came up with a workable solution for our organization that everyone seems to like. Are you running MS Office? If so, I have a document that details what I do and how I do it. If you are interested let me know.

Jason -
If you're willing to share, I'd love to see what solution you came up with!

The ability to select multiple candidates from the candidate tab or a list and create a zip file of all of their resumes and then email that zip file to an email address may be available in our next update.

I can't promise this as we're pretty late in the game in terms of the update; but, it's a simple enough feature and enough of you have shown interest to warrant us trying our best to get it in there.

The feature will likely work in the following fashion:

If the size of the combined resumes exceeds a threshold (say, 8MB) the outgoing email would simply contain a link to download the bundle and the bundle would be attached to your internal company record.

If the size of the combined resumes is under the threshold, it would be attached as a zip file to the email of which you could select one or multiple recipients.

Has anything been done to add this capability yet? I would definitely like to be able to forward resumes within CATS too. Frankly, I'm very surprised this functionality is not already a core feature. Sending resumes to hiring managers is so fundamental and critical to the process that I may have to move on to another system if it is not going to be a part of CATS. Please let me know where this stands right now. Thanks

To clarify, we have had the ability to share resume documents with third parties for some time.

1) You can add candidates to a list, then publish the list to a URL. You can optional password protect it so that only your hiring managers or clients can access the list. You can select which fields to share, they can view and download resumes and information for the candidates in your list.

2) You can email multiple resumes. Just create a new email and use the "Add Recipients and More" button. There's a "Resume" checkbox and you can add resumes from candidates as attachments to the email.

3) You can submit a single candidate to a hiring manager or client using the "Submit" button to the right of the candidate's name and include a pre-formatted header.

Certainly sending resumes to clients and managers is a core feature of any ATS and we've supported all of these methods of accomplishing this for some time.

The original request of this thread was to create a zip file of the results of a search that you can download with the resumes included. This particular feature is not available, but we do plan to release it in either the next or next thereafter update. You should see it available in a couple of weeks.

Wow! CATS hasn't caught up yet! IF you cannot zip multiple resumes and email it to a hiring manager: we are going to have trouble using this ATS! Sending a link to my client: many have already turned that down.
