New Website Launches

As you most likely have already noticed, we launched some big changes to our website over the weekend. For a few years now we’ve managed to get by with a website that can best be described as brochure-ware. A mostly static collection of screenshots and information for those initial questions when considering CATS. While it served its purpose, there really was no reason for a CATS user to return to it other than when logging in. Our new theme can best be described as transparent.

We’re noticing some new trends with the web. There are hundreds of software products out there, many without so much as a heartbeat. It’s become harder to differentiate live products from those that have passed their time. Business is changing, new audiences and markets like Facebook and Twitter are changing the game. Other tools that haven’t been updated since 2006 just won’t cut it today.

In the years that we’ve been running CATS, never more than now has there been so much discussion, so many feature ideas, and active development towards new features. Until now, that discussion has been limited to CATS users reaching out to our support and development team. There’s such a pulse in our community right now, we just had to share it. We want you to see what we’re working on, how many updates we’ve posted, how many people are logging in and what browsers they’re using — we want to become openly and utterly transparent.

This weekend we’ve launched a number of reports and statistics that can be found on the main landing page of our website, www.catsone.com. We’ve designed a new forum and embedded it into our site. A new FAQ system to archive a number of questions we’re commonly asked. We’ve included a section to archive current and upcoming videos. We hope that you’ll use these tools when you have questions, and we invite you to discuss these changes and just about anything else on our forum.

Although the changes we’ve made thus far are pretty extensive, they don’t begin to scratch the surface of what we’re aiming for. In the coming weeks, we hope to include a tool to track your feature ideas. You’ll be able to post your ideas and vote on what you think we should be working on next. We will include an area to post API examples, careers website designs and even custom workflows.

Of course this is all relatively new, so some minor issues may occur when navigating the new tools and we hope that you’ll send any problems that you run into to our support team. Other than that, please enjoy and send us your feedback — you’ll certainly know how to get a hold of us.
